    Seeking Dragons

    How to Find them

Reaching every corner of the Earth itself, dragons can be found essentially anywhere in the natural world. They are guardians of nature, and powerful forces who hide away from humanity. You will find them in rivers, in trees; in the mountains and deserts; from the ocean depths to the simplest hole in the dirt; they inhibit everything. They are clever creatures and masters of disguise, and could be hiding right under your nose. However as a result of this, sometimes they can be hard to come across, especially if you are not as experienced in socializing with dragons.

When seeking dragons, one must come with an open heart and open mind. A genuine respect for dragons, without a doubt in your mind of their nature. Perhaps you will have to search the depths of the woods, or perhaps you shall find one in your own backyard. Whatever the case, dragons are most commonly found in nature, and there are a couple of things to keep in mind when approaching. Firstly, dragons can see straight through you; simple as that. Secondly, it is most likely for an individual to come across a younger dragon, as they tend to be the most curious and friendly to human beings. This isn't to say however that it's impossible for one to be approached by a much larger and older dragon. But thirdly, not every dragon will be very receptive to you, or even welcoming to begin with. Some dragons have a bad history with human beings, and in turn you may be met with dismissal or even hostility. Tread carefully. One does not want to be met with a dragon's fury. If a dragon has no interest in you and you cannot persuade them otherwise, leave, and seek elsewhere. Coming unarmed and with things such as offering, or even simply spelling out your intentions to them or wearing draconic symbols may sway them in your direction and be more open to interacting with you.

Truly, even just lending your time and energy to them may bring them about. Dragons will pay attention if you speak out towards them regularly, set up an altar of sorts, or making the effort to try and reach them; they do not fail to notice these things. In some instances where one insistently fails to make connection with a dragon, it might be because you are not ready. If the dragons see that it is not yet time for you to reach them, they may simply hide themselves from you, but do not take this as a bad thing! Continue your work in whatever it is you are focusing on metaphysically, continue showing appreciation to the dragons, perhaps reevaluate why you are looking for them at all, and you will not be forgotten. Don't be discouraged; dragons are typically keen on making sure you are ready before working with them.

Aside from finding dragons in the wilderness, there are a number of dragons that can be sought out alternatively and perhaps more importantly that will help you in your journey. One of the most important ones is a Dragon Guide. Dragon Guides are simply put, dragons who act as guides. Not everyone has a Dragon Guide. However if you do, it is likely for a reason, and they are perhaps the one you want to seek out first. They are often incredibly friendly and receptive to you, helping you get your footing in the direction of where you're going, and can aid you in communicating with other dragons. They are a friend, but should still be thoroughly respected like any dragon. They are likely to be more forgiving in general as well.

Forge relationships with dragons. Lend them your time and energy, and perhaps they will lend you theirs. Make no solid assumptions about a dragon at first glance, and if you find yourself unwelcome to one, do not take offense; it's nothing personal. Sometimes it's a simple misunderstanding even! Take your time getting to know the dragons; they themselves have all the time in the world.
