The embodiment of the liquid of life itself, Water dragons tend to be prevalent in every corner of mythology in some form, known for their emotional, mysterious, and insightful nature. Water dragons can be found in both salt and fresh waters, from rivers and lakes, to the depths of the ocean, to even the rain itself! It’s commonly seen that the behaviors and appearances of Water dragons may vary quite drastically depending on whether they are associated with salt or fresh waters. They are genius creatures strongly intertwined with the psyche, from emotions, to thought itself, and psychic abilities; known best for their healing abilities, they help foster and revitalize.
Associations
- Water dragons assume all colors of the ocean, not only just shades of blues and greens, but all manner of colors as well in reflection of the vibrant wildlife and coral reefs within the waters. Commonly they are observed with aquatic features, from fins to gills, to rivulet scales as well – furthermore it is often said that rather than breathing fire like most dragons, they instead breathe boiling steam. Water dragons often specialize in psychic abilities, deep emotional healing, refreshment and revitalization, emotional matters, and guiding one through tumultuous times, settling the waves. Alternatively dragons associated with the deeper ocean may be associated with hiding and protection as well.
Signs
- Largely based on personal interpretation, signs of Water dragons always vary, however some signs may consist of things such as finding shells or fossils, seeing dragons in ice, being called to water more ( whether literally or figuratively ), fluid flowing emotions, a calling to the sea, or wanting to heal.
